Pike Brothers was founded by George and Joseph Pike in 1930. The company's products are based on the outdoor and workwear of the early 20th century, using the original production methods for an authentic look and feel.
The 1966 Jungle Short's arrangement of pockets and narrow fit are taken from the famous Tiger Stripe pants of the 1960s. These were mainly worn by special forces of the US military in subtropical areas. The cut is therefore a bit narrower to move well in the deep undergrowth of the jungle. The side cargo pockets provide additional storage space. The small side compass pocket was often used for cigarettes.
