The C2 Sweater was the first approach of the USAAF to develop a layered system of clothing for pilots. It was intended as an additional insulation layer for the A2 aviator leather jacket. To provide the best possible freedom of movement, the C2 Sweater features a slim fit and raglan sleeves.
